If you want to start a backyard chicken farm chicken coop kits are a great way to start if you are not comfortable in building your own coop from scratch. There are a lot of kits available in the market depending on size style color or designs. Therefore starting your own backyard chicken farm is as easy as the hen laying its eggs. Most chicken coop kits come with complete set of wood cut into specs all the hardware needed as well as a set of plans. Some would even add a paintbrush if the owner would like to paint his coop to make it look more attractive. It is always advisable to fully check the kit to ensure that it is complete. If there is a missing part or if the kit is defective then be sure to return it. Make sure that any chicken coop kits you bought have the highest quality materials otherwise it might fall down easily and kill your chickens.
Protection. You need to keep your chickens safe from all sorts of predators such as foxes coyotes hawks raccoons and rats just to name a few. The structure should be strong and no part of it should be able to be pushed over by a person. That is just the way I rate the strength of my coops...Could I push it over? If no then it is strong enough. There should be no way for rats or foxes to get into your chicken coop to kill your chickens. make sure the fencing goes all the way to the ground. You should also put the wire fencing down under the ground for about 1 foot out from the wire fence. This means when a fox digs at a fence they will simply hit the wire mesh and will eventually give up or try something else. Use mesh that raccoons cant get their arms through. I recommend using 1/2 inch square wire mesh for all the wire mesh fencing on the chicken coop. This will keep your chickens safe and it also looks quite attractive. Remember foxes are quite wily so check over your chicken coop plans to make sure they are predator proof.
The difficulty with this is that we don?ft know how these chickens had been raised? What type of chemicals where put into their food just to make them look a lot more healthy? Where they healthy when they were slaughtered for their meant? These questions have produced a considerably huge number of individuals concern on what they are eating came from. The nutritional facts that we see on the packaging of our food might give us some truths. But can we genuinely trust it? The only approach to make sure that what we eat is healthy and nutritious would be to raise them ourselves. This is the rather reason why a whole lot individuals are raising chickens on their own. Its becoming a fast and growing trend.
